Dr. Jaein Lee

Jaein Lee is a lecturer on education at Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) and the co-chair of theData Wise Coach Certification program. Her research interests focus on institutional practices and supports for first-generation low-income immigrants and students of color, with special focus on undocumented immigrant students. Her recent study explored how undocumented immigrant students demonstrate their agency using non-dominant values and practices while navigating a predominantly white university. As a Data Wise coach, she provides teacher training on how to use data collaboratively to bring equity to instruction and practices in schools, nationally and internationally. Previously, she worked as a research analyst at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University, providing site-based research and technical support to school districts in projects related to college readiness and access, family and community engagement, and English Language Learners.
Lee holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College, M.A. from the University of Chicago, Ed.M. in education policy and management and Ph.D. in education from Harvard University. |
