We are excited to announce the upcoming IYRC Fall 2024 Conference, the 10th International Young Researchers' Conference (IYRC). The conference is structured on separate days. The In-person Day will take place on December 7, 2024  at Columbia University in New York, where attendees will have the invaluable opportunity to connect face-to-face with renowned speakers, as well as students from Columbia University and Stanford University at the venue. Additionally, on January 18, 2025 (EST time zone), we will host a Virtual Day for those unable to attend the conference in person.

The IYRC is an interdisciplinary conference that offers high school students the opportunity to publish their original research and present it to an international audience. Over the years, the IYRC has successfully organized nine conferences, attracting aspiring young researchers from 25 countries and accepting more than 460 papers. abstract submission process and guidelines

I. Abstract submission:

• Abstracts should be limited to three A4-sized pages (750-1500 words) including figures, tables and references, and must contain adequate information to allow a sound referee review.
• Submission should be made online through the submission system. The author must fill in all the information requested by the submission system and attach the abstract using the provided template. Additionally, please select your preferred presentation format. We offer oral and poster presentations for the in-person IYRC, and only oral presentations for the Virtual IYRC.
• The deadline for submission of abstracts is September 21, 2024 (11:59 PM, EST). The abstracts will be peer-reviewed for selection and the authors will be notified about the acceptance of their paper for presentation on October 5, 2024.

​II. Requirements after Abstract Acceptance:
In-Person IYRC:

• Oral Presentation: Authors who choose this option must submit a pre-recorded video (12 min) and a presentation file by November 7, 2024. The pre-recorded video will be published on the IYRC website along with your accepted abstract.
• Poster Presentation: Authors who choose this option must submit a pre-recorded video (10 min) and a poster file (A0 size) by November 7, 2024. The poster will be published on the IYRC website along with your accepted abstract.​
• Print: Authors should print out and bring their own accepted poster with them to the venue.

​Virtual IYRC:

• Oral Presentation (only): Authors must submit a pre-recorded video (12 min) and a presentation file by November 7, 2024. The pre-recorded video will be published on the IYRC website along with your accepted abstract.

All accepted presenters are required to register and pay for the conference registration fees. The presentations will only be listed in the conference program upon receipt of the registration fees. All presenters need to attend and give a live presentation at the conference event. If not, the presentation information and abstract will be removed from the final conference program.

III. Publication process:

• The accepted abstract will be published in the conference proceedings (without DOI).
•  The authors are strongly encouraged to submit the full papers once their abstracts have been accepted. Submissions will undergo a peer-review process, and only qualified papers will be considered for publication in the IYRC Journal (with DOI).  There is no specific deadline for submission. The review process is expected to take approximately 4-6 weeks from the date of submission. Note: 

• Only a 3-page abstract (750-1500 words) is required. ​In addition, the accepted abstract will be published in the conference proceedings (without DOI).
• The abstract should briefly outline the objective, key methods, significant findings, and their implications. Avoid including excessive details, and limit the abstract to only the most critical points that highlight the novelty and impact of your work.
• ​Include no more than two figures or tables to present essential data relevant and significant to your research. References should be limited to the most relevant and important sources, with 10 to 15 being sufficient.
