Discover Tokyo with IYRCTokyo Explore is an optional five-day pre-orientation program designed to complement IYRC's biannual conferences at the University of Tokyo. This immersive experience invites students to discover Tokyo's history and charm with a diverse, English-speaking group of peers, IYRC team members, and local students from our partner ICEP (International Collaboration and Exchange Program). Participants will also meet students other prestigious universities, like Columbia University and more! |

The IYRC is unable to offer financial aid for IYRC Tokyo Explore at this time.
Students are responsible for arranging their own flights, accommodation and visas if applicable. Please check this website to check if you need a visa to enter Japan. The IYRC is not able to assist with any visa-related matters. In addition, the Tokyo Explore program is limited to the first 25 participants who have completed their payment.

- Students must be accepted to other IYRC programs such as the Medicine and Research Summer Program or the IYRC Spring 2025. If you have applied to the aforementioned programs but have not heard a decision yet, we will fast track your applications (if applicable).
