OUr Mission

Our mission is to provide an avenue for high school researchers to present their breakthroughs with their peers and the wider community. We strive to build an international network of driven students, mentors, and leaders in research. The IYRC is interdisciplinary by design: our conference allows for collaboration and connection between fields.

We also strive to bridge the gap between coursework and community leadership by uniting students with a passion for global health; integrating schools and local communities through education, research, and innovation; and helping students understand the commitment to global health as a fundamental quality of liberty and equity.

How did the IYRC form?

In 2017, a group of educators, mentors, and academics discussed the need for a research conference for high school students. Out of that discussion, the idea for the International Young Researchers' Conference (IYRC) was formed. The inaugural 1st International Young Researchers' Conference was held in November 2018 in Tokyo, Japan.
I very much enjoyed the International Young Researchers' Conference. The conference provided me with a great opportunity to share my findings with peers and researchers, but also to be inspired by students my age. What inspired me the most was how everyone at the conference was so passionate about changing the world for the better through pursuing their interests. It was a friendly place and I made lots of friends throughout the conference"
