Tung D. Ta is an assistant professor in the Department of Creative Informatics, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo. His research interests are in the fields of digital fabrication, flexible electronic circuits and soft-bodied robotics. He received his Ph.D. in Information Communication Engineering - The University of Tokyo in 2019, M.E. in 2016, and B.E. from the department of Software Engineering - FPT University in 2012. He is a member of ACM, IEEE, IEICE, IPSJ, and SICE.

​Dr. Kiran T. Thakur, MD

Dr. Kiran Thakur is an inpatient neurologist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, with clinical expertise in neuroinfectious diseases and neuroimmunology. Following her neurology residency training at the Harvard Neurology Residency Program of Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham and Women's Hospital, where she served as chief resident, Dr. Thakur completed post-doctoral fellowship training in neuroinfectious disease and neuroimmunology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Thakur serves a major teaching role as an inpatient neurologist, and is the recipient of the Lewis P. Rowland Teaching Award. In addition to her clinical work at CUIMC, Dr. Thakur works internationally treating patients, educating trainees, and performing clinical research. She has worked in eight countries throughout her career, and serves as a consultant for the World Health Organization, where she works to improve global access to neurological care. Dr. Thakur’s research focuses on clinical and translational studies which aim to improve our ability to detect and manage neuroinfectious diseases and neuroinflammatory conditions in the hospital setting. She leads the post-doctoral neuroinfectious disease clinical research fellowship for LIC and LMIC physician-scientists at Columbia. Her clinical areas of expertise include neuroinfectious diseases, neuroimmunology, emergency neurology, and community and global health.

Dr. Laura Levin, MD

Dr. Laura Levin, MD is a Pediatric Dermatology Specialist in New York, NY. Dr. Levin studied at Albert Einstein Medical Center and currently practices at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Levin specializes in the skin care of children where she evaluates and manages both common and uncommon skin conditions that affect infants, children and teens. These conditions include acne, psoriasis, warts, skin infections, atopic dermatitis, herpes simplex and more.

INSTRUCTION FOR PRESENTERS

For in-person conference (June 17):
  • Each presentation is 12 minutes in length, followed by 3 minutes for Q&A
  • Please bring your presentation on a USB as a laptop will be provided in all rooms. Using your own laptop is not necessary and may cause technical difficulties and time delays.
  • We kindly ask you to be in the room 15 minutes before the start of your session and upload your presentation into the prepared laptop.
  • Presentation formats: PowerPoint (format 16:9) or PDF
  • File name: Presentation ID_name (e.g., IYRC01_ABC)

For virtual conference (June 18):
  • All authors need to submit a 12-minute pre-recorded presentation by June 4th. The presentation will be published on the conference website on the conference date to encourage audience participation and discussion.
  • Live presentation on the conference date is 12 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for Q&A. 
  • Please Install and update Zoom for the latest version in advance since Zoom is used for the virtual conference (https://zoom.us/download)
  • We kindly ask you to be in Zoom 15 minutes before the start of your session to check internet connection and other technical tests.
