The IYRC community is growing, and so is our team! We are seeking an Operations Manager to help lead IYRC programming, as well as Reviewers to provide meaningful feedback on submitted high school research papers.
Operations Manager
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for organizing and facilitating all aspects of The IYRC platform. The Operations Manager has the unique opportunity to truly shape, fulfill, and sustain the vision of the IYRC. This is a volunteer position and requires 30-50 hours per conference.

- Answering questions from prospective participants
- Assigning reviewers to newly-submitted papers
- Helping process reviews and sending decisions to first authors
- Overseeing the editorial process and coordinating with assistant editors
- Helping assign DOIs to published papers
- Working with the Directors to plan future conferences and other programs

- Passionate advocate for accessible high school research opportunities
- An experienced researcher familiar with the publication process
- Professional, ethical, and reliable
- Strong communicator, both written and orally
Reviewer
The IYRC uses a double-blind review process to provide meaningful feedback to high school students. New reviewers are trained to provide constructive feedback using the IYRC's rubric. Reviewers from any field are welcome to volunteer as little as 3 hours per conference.

- Coordinate the weekly zoom meeting lectures. Ensure there are TFs or faculty signed up for each time slot and that zoom links are sent out. Manage breakout rooms during the meetings.
- Coordinate the monthly in-person sessions and ensure TFs sign up for times. Manage sign in/sign out, food, swag, etc.
- Put together the weekly announcement to students about what will be happening that week.
